Baja Road Trippin' 2

Lets just skip the boring stuff... from BC to the Tecate border was basically strip mall hamburgers and rest stop bathroom breaks along the I-5. With the exception of a pit stop in Ilwaco WA for a roof rack outfit, KC and I booked it to Margaritaville, Mex. First stop Punta Baja, also our first lesson in expecting the unexpected. Damn Canadians always assuming palm trees and sunburns as soon we drive south for a day or two. Shocked to pull out my 5/4 wetsuit and booties and to see KC in a puffy coat during the day, damn it. Also shocked to see an empty break peeling right in front of our chosen camp spot. This spot was definitely a highlight, long rides with only one other couple in the line up, and a beer for crab trade worked out for dinner. Good stuff, good start, but it was too cold to stay to long. Although I love the cold, I was ready for my off-season melt, I just wanted to run free and barefoot in the sand while acquiring tan lines and dehydration. Moving on...
